On Saturday, February 22, 2014 the Alpha Fire Company again welcomed several families at Penn State for the 2014 Dance Marathon, THON. Our guests were given rides to and from Station 5, got to ride the ‘bucket’ in Aerial Tower 516, used hoses and fire extinguishers to knock targets down, toured Station 5, and had some light refreshments. Not incidently, some of the kids got some firefighters wet.
The Alpha Fire Company sends its thanks to the THON organizers and families for allowing us to be a part of this event.
Hey folks, please take an extra couple minutes clearing the snow from around fire hydrants near your homes and businesses. We know it is extra work, but it will save firefighters vital time finding the hydrant and hooking up water supply if there is a fire in someone’s home. Try to get a radius of three feet or more and brush the hydrant off if possible.
We believe that our website has been restored to normal operations. Thank you for your patience.
