At 22:38 hrs. Company 5 was alerted to the 3400 Blk. of N. Atherton St. for a motor vehicle accident with injuries. The reporting party was indicating one male patient with a head injury.
This evening the Alpha's attended fire fighter appreciation night at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park to see the State College Spikes take on the Mahoning Valley Scrappers.
Prior to the game the crews were given a behind the scenes tour of the new ballpark.
At the beginning of the game the chief's car (538) and utility (522) made a lap around the warning track. Ike, the mascot, rode in the bed of 522. Captain Kuchmay (595) was selected to throw out the first pitch.
While the engine crew was there they ran 2 calls, a wires down in Ferguson Township, just before the game started, and an automatic alarm in the borough at the end of the game.
The Spikes won the game 3-1.

In August/September of 2007 the Alpha Fire Company will be close to replacing the current Truck 516 with its successor. As a send off for the truck that served as our flagship piece, we are tentatively arranging a "Last Cruise" event for all Active, Alumni, and Life members. It will include trips around the town in 516, and possiblly a BBQ and a Spikes game.

This morning the Alpha's were dispatched to the intersection of Meeks Ln. and Skytop Ln. for an accident with rollover. As units went responding they were advised that there was one patient with no entrapment.
Today the Firefighter for a Day event concluded with a dinner held at the station. Participants for this event arrived on Friday night and were issued a set of full turnout gear.
