At approximately 6:00 AM the Bellefonte Fire Department requested the assistance of the Alpha's in their search for a missing male individual who become lost in the woods near Purdue Mountain Rd. in Benner Township.
In addition to the manpower request, Engine 510 transferred to Station 1 in Bellefonte shortly after 11:00 PM on November 24, 2011.
By 9:00 AM the search had concluded and units were placed available.

Early this morning the Alpha's were dispatched to I-99 Mile Marker 68 in Patton Township for a vehicle accident with unknown injuries. Units arrived to find a single vehicle accident with rollover. Units also found a single patient with minor injuries and no entrapment. The occupant was attempting to calm her dog when crews arrived. The crew from Engine 510 controlled hazards while EMS treated the patient.
The patient was transported to Mount Nittany Medical Center for evaluation, while the dog was transported to Metzger Animal Hospital. The dog did not appear to be injured.
Crews remained on scene until the vehicle was removed from the area.

| At
23:19 Centre County Communications alerted Company 5 for a reported dwelling on
fire with entrapment at 829 Elmwood Ave in
Lemont PA. Engine 510, Engine 513, Engine 514, Quint 527, Truck 516 and Rescue
518 responded on the run. Quint 527 arrived on scene to a multiple
family dwelling with light smoke showing from the rear of the
structure and pulled and 1 3/4" cross lay to the rear of the dwelling to
an upstairs apartment where they encountered a medium smoke condition. As this
was being performed other units arrived on scene. Crew members
(firefighter Simpson and firefighter J. Martin) forced entry and found one
victim unconscious inside and removed them to awaiting EMS
with the assistance from firefighter Bieber. Crews found the
cause of the smoke to be burnt food on the stove and the assignment
was held to the units on location. Crews performed ventilation and the box was
placed in service. |

| At 15:56 this afternoon, Company
5 was dispatched to 241 East McCormick
Ave in the Borough of State College for a reported
working dwelling fire. Engine 510, Engine 512, Engine 514, Quint 527. Truck
516, Rescue 518 and Chief 500 responded with 30 volunteers. Engine 510 arrived on scene with a 1
story single family dwelling with smoke showing and layed out from a close by
hydrant to secure their own water supply, then pulled the 200’ leader line
and a 150’ high rise pack to make the stretch to the front door. Truck 516
arrived on scene right behind E510 and split crews. The exterior truck crew
threw multiple ground ladders, horizontally ventilated and secured utilities
while the interior crew also ventilated and performed searches. First in crews
encountered zero visibility and located a fire in the basement with the only
access through an interior stairwell. The lineman (FF Gottsch) made an
aggressive knock on the fire. Other incoming units pulled a back up line,
relieved first in crews, and began to open up and check for extension. Crews
operated on scene for approximately 2 1/2 hours to assist the Fire Marshall
before returning to service. |

| At around 1900 this evening,
Company 5 was dispatched to the 3600 block of Mt. Nittany Expressway for a
tractor trailer roll over. Rescue 518 and Engine 514 responded on the run along
with units from Company 3(Boalsburg). Rescue 518 arrived on scene to find one
tractor trailer rolled over that had been traveling west bound and crossed the
guard rail coming to a stop in the eastbound lanes. There were two injured
patients who were able to assist each other in self extricating prior to fire
department arrival. The crew from 518 assisted EMS while the crew from 514 and other arriving units were
assigned to hazard control for a ruptured diesel tank and highway hazards.
Units remained on scene for HazMat and wrecking crews to arrive and then went
available a short time later. |

| Tonight Company 5 was dispatched for a vehicle crash with entrapment at the intersection of Benner Pike and Shiloh Road in College Township. Rescue 518 and Engine 510responded on the run with 12 volunteers. Units arrived on to scene to one car on all four wheels with one patient trapped inside. The crews stabilized the vehicle, secured hazards and performed a roof driver side door removal. The patient was then transferred to awaiting EMS and Company 5 returned to service. |

| Around 14:30 Centre County Communications alerted Company 5 for a vehicle collision on Interstate 99 at miler marker 67 in Patton Township. Engine 514 and Rescue 518 responded on the run with 11 volunteers. Units arrived on scene to a motorcycle versus tractor trailer head on collision with a one victim DOA in the median. State Police said the motorcyclist was heading northbound on the southbound lane and ruled the death a suicide. Rescue 518 went available and the crew from Engine 514 remained on location to assist the coroner. |
