The Alpha Fire Company was dispatched to a vehicle accident on the
200 block of West Branch road in College Township at approximately
11:30PM. Crews arrived on scene to find a milk truck resting on its side in the creek near the Meyer’s dairy farm.
The Fire Police shut down the roadway at North Atherton and Branch Road and at Woodside Drive
and Branch Road
as Fire Crews went to work on the milk truck.
The Haz Mat Team was called into the scene because crews soon
discovered that the truck was leaking raw milk and fuel into the
stream.

| Saturday night was busy for the Alpha's as they ran multiple calls, all in the Borough of State College. The evening began with a haz-mat call on the Penn State campus at the Life Sciences building where there was a minor leak of a nitrogen cylinder. Following that the Alpha's responded to 4 reported building fires and an automatic fire alarm within a 2-3 hour period. There was one minor fire at Fairmount Hills apartments and the cause of that fire is under investigation by the State College Police Department. |
