On Tuesday, April 6th at 2245 hours, the Alpha's were dispatched for a reported trash can fire. 510 and 502 responded to the scene at 337 S. Burrows in the Boro. When 510 arrived, the trash cans were well involved and the fire appeared to be rolling up the side of the garage. Hearing this report, the box was upgraded to a building fire. A quick knock by the crew of 510 held the fire from extending into the garage. The crews attempted to make access to the garage through a side door, and had extreme difficulty due to the reinforcement later found inside the door as shown in the pictures before. The landlord substituted a traditional locking mechanism with 2 x 4's over the space between the door and the frame.  plastic_trash_cans
