This morning at 09:58 hrs. the company was dispatched to the Welch Pool on Westerly Parkway for a shed with fire on the roof. 2nd Assistant Chief Schreiner (502) arrived on scene and confirmed a working shed fire. Engine 510 arrived on scene and went to work. Crews went to the roof to remove the flue pipe and extinguish the fire.
The fire was cause when the flue pipe attached to the furance used to heat the pool became too hot and caught the wood around it on fire.

| At 22:38 hrs. Company 5 was alerted to the 3400 Blk. of N. Atherton St. for a motor vehicle accident with injuries. The reporting party was indicating one male patient with a head injury. |

| This morning the Alpha's were dispatched to the intersection of Meeks Ln. and Skytop Ln. for an accident with rollover. As units went responding they were advised that there was one patient with no entrapment. |

At 03:16 hours Company 5 was dispatched to the 3000 block of Circleville Road for a report of building fire with flames showing.

| For the second day in a row the Alpha's were alerted to a hazardous materials incident. Today it occurred at 17:57 hrs. at 730 W. Beaver Ave. where there was a mercury spill. The call started out as a chief's call only, upon the arrival of the duty chief, Captain A. Prestia, he confirmed that the substance was mercury and requested that the company and Penn State Haz-Mat be dispatched. |

At 15:00 hrs. the Alpha Fire Co. was dispatched to 237 S. Faser St., United States Post Office, for a hazardous materials incident. Third Assistant Chief Prestia responed to the scene and was advised that a white powder was leaking from at least one of two large boxes that had no return address. The 911 center also advised that at least one person had come in contact with the substance.

| Shortly before noon today the Alpha's were dispatched to Science Park Rd. in front of Raytheon for a gas leak. As Captain Kuchmay (595) was responding the 911 center advised that it was a 2" main that had been struck. |
