At 8:16 AM the Alpha Fire Company was dispatched to the 2600 Block of Buffalo Run Rd. (Rt. 550) in Benner Township for a reported vehicle accident with injuries. Medic 2448, from Mt. Nittany Medical Center, arrived on scene and advised of 2 cars head on with 2 patients entrapped. The call was then upgraded to an accident with entrapment bringing additional resources to the scene. LifeFlight was also requested, however, due to poor weather conditions no helicopters were available to fly. One patient was transported to Altoona Hospital via ground and the other to Mt. Nittany Medical Center. The box was placed available at 9:49 AM.
Less than 2 hours later, at 11:35 AM, the Alpha's were dispatched to another vehicle accident with entrapment at 1879 W Pine Grove Rd. in Ferguson Township. Reports placed the accident at Gate E of Ag Progress. Police arrived on scene first and confirmed 1 pick up truck rolled over with 1 patient entrapped in the vehicle. The patient was extricated in approximately 10 minutes and was transported to the hospital. Fire apparatus cleared the scene at 12:16 PM, while fire police remained for traffic control. Fire police were placed available at 12:56 PM.

Early this morning the Alpha Fire Co. assisted multiple other fire companies from Centre and Clinton Counties with 4 simultaneous structure fires. The Alpha Fire Co. assisted at a barn fire in Unionville as well as a church fire in Howard Township. The 2 other fires occured in Milesburg's first due.
Good job to all companies involved during this hectic beginning to the New Year!
All 4 fires are under investigation by the State Police Fire Marshal.

At 4:01 PM the Centre County 911 center dispatched Company 5 to a possible gas leak at 445 Railroad Ave. in the Borough of State College. The complaintant was in the laundromat and smelled what they thought was natural gas and called 911.

| At approximately 5:30 PM the Alpha Fire Co. and Bellefonte Fire Department were dispatched to the 1800 Blk. of Benner Pike for a barn fire. As units were responding the 911 center advised that they were receiving multiple calls from both the Benner Pike and Rt. 220. The barn was located on State Correctional Institute at Rockview property. |

At 12:37 PM the Alpha Fire Co. was dispatched to the area of 537 Pike St. in Lemont for a motor vehicle accident. The police department arrived on scene first and advised that the fire department was needed for fluid control and assistance. Rescue 518 responded with 6 volunteers and rendered a Hybrid Vehicle safe and controlled fluids. The crew also assisted with extrication of a patient from one of the vehicles. The patient was not entrapped. Special Fire Police assisted with traffic control and all units were placed available after approximately 1 hour.

At 04:43 hours the Alphas were alerted to a building fire at 1010 S. Pugh St. with reports of smoke and flames showing from the second floor.
Police quickly began evacuation of the building leaving only an adjacent apartment occupied due to heavy smoke conditions. Alpha engine and truck crews arrived on scene together and went straight to work.

| At 12:45 PM the fire company was dispatched to 100 Patton Plaza, next door to our Patton Township sub-station, for vehicle fire near the entrance to the police station. Engine 514 went responding and quickly arrived on scene to find a passenger car with active fire in the engine compartment. |
