This morning around 7:00 AM the Alpha Fire Co. was alerted for a motor vehicle accident on I-99 Southbound in Patton Township. Reports indicated a passenger car and a tractor trailer involved with 1 person injured. The accident occurred between the Valley Vista and Grays Woods exits.
Assistant Chief S. Kauffman (504) and Engine 514 arrived on scene simultaneously to find a passenger car sideways on the shoulder of the roadway. Assistant Chief J. Martin (502) arrived shortly after and assumed command of the incident. Engine 514 set-up as a blocking vehicle until Fire Police 536 was arrived for traffic control.
The vehicle had 1 occupant with minor injuries and was transported to the Mount Nittany Medical Center by Centre LifeLink EMS.

At 4:22 PM the Alpha Fire Co. was dispatched to assist Port Matilda Fire Co. with a motor vehicle accident on I-99 in Worth Township at Exit 62. Reports indicated a single vehicle accident with ejection.
Units arrived on scene to find one patient outside the vehicle and a Volkswagen sedan in the median on the southbound side of the road. EMS personnel loaded and transported the patient to Mount Nittany Medical Center.
Southbound travel on I-99 was reduced to one lane until the vehicle was removed from the scene. PennDOT arrived to provide assistance with traffic control. Units operated on the scene for approximately one hour.

| Shortly after 5:00 AM this morning the Alpha Fire Co. was dispatched for tanker to assist the Philipsburg Fire Dept. with a dwelling fire at 248 Thompson St. in Rush Township. On scene reports indicated a working fire in an attached garage with extension the home. Tanker 519 responded on the call with a crew of 2. |

| At approximately 9:30 AM the Alpha Fire Co. was dispatched to assist Centre Hall Fire Co. with a dwelling fire. Dispatch was reporting a working fire at a residence along General Potter Highway (Route 322). Units arrived on scene to find a working fire that was being held in check by Reedsville Fire Co. from Mifflin County. The highway was shutdown during operations and was reopened as soon as possible. |

During the mid-morning hours the Alpha Fire Co. was alerted to a vehicle accident with entrapment and injuries on Route 322 in the area of Maternville School. Patton Township arrived on scene first and advised of a patient that was confined to a vehicle.
Engine 514 arrived and found 3 patients with one confined to their vehicle. Rescue 518 arrived and assisted 514 with vehicle stabilization and door removal. Patient was extricated and treated by Centre LifeLink EMS. All 3 patients were transported by Centre LifeLink to the Mount Nittany Medical Center.
Route 322 was closed during the incident. The accident is under investigation by the Patton Township Police Department.

At approximately 2:30 AM the Alpha's were dispatched to assist Huntingdon County with a barn fire. Huntingdon was requesting an Engine and Tanker. Tanker 520 and Engine 510 responded on the call. The crew from Engine 510 was requested to provide manpower at the scene to assist with extinguishment.
Units returned to the Centre Region after several hours of operating on the scene.

At approximately 8:30 PM the Alpha Fire Co. was alerted to 653
Westerly Parkway at the State College High School North Building for a
building fire. State College Police were on scene advising of a
vehicle fire with extension to the building next to it.
Engine 510 arrived on scene first to find a well
involved vehicle with extension to a neighboring maintenance shed on
fire. Crews immediately stretched a handline to begin extinguishment.
Engine 512 arrived and stretched a second line to assist with
extinguishment of the fire.
Crews held the fire to the car and attic space of the building. Items will be salvagable from the building.
The cause of the fire is unknown and is currently under investigation
by the State College Police Department and the Centre Region Fire
Marshal's Office.
