| This evening at 16:00 hrs. members from the Alpha's staffed Engine 510 and Truck 516 for the Boalsburg Fire Co. Parade. Upon the completion of the parade Engine 510, Truck 516, and Engine/Rescue 414 provided stand-by coverage for Boalsburg during the carnival. Just before the parade Engine/Rescue 414 and Engine 510 were dispatched for a reported motor vehicle accident with injuries, however, nothing was found. Just after the parade Engine 510 took a call at the Nittany Mall for an automatic fire alarm. Crews were at Boalsburg until about 22:30 hrs. |

This evening at 18:30 hrs. Captain Kuchmay conducted a training class on the newly acquired Petrogen Torch. The training consisted of a 20 minute video followed by hands-on use of the torch. The torch will be carried on Rescue 518 to compliment the slice-pak that is currently carried on the rescue.
More images are available in the training section of the image gallery.

The County Commissioners decided to enact the ban under the recommendations of the Centre County Fire Chiefs Association and the state Department of Conservation and Natural Resources' Bureau of Forestry at a meeting on Friday.
A person who violates this act commits a summary offense and shall, upon conviction, be sentenced to pay a fine of not more than $100 for the first offense, $200 for the second offense and $300 for the third offense. In addition the person could be help liable for all costs of extinguishment.
