State College Police arrived on scene quickly and attempted to put the fire out with a dry chemical extinguisher, however, the fire had already progressed too far and the van was soon fully involved.  Engine 512 arrived on scene, deployed the 1 3/4" trash line and quickly knocked the fire down.  Engine 514 arrived on scene and stood-by ready to provide assistance to the crew from 512, if needed.  Crews remained on scene for approximately 45 minutes.Shortly after Captain Kuchmay (595) arrived on scene of the vehicle fire, Centre County 911 center advised him of an automatic alarm on the Benner Pike.  The automatic alarm was handled by Chief Brown and Company 2 (Bellefonte) was dispatched for a truck and Company 8 (Pleasant Gap) for an engine.  The alarm was soon cancelled. 36885
