| The Alpha Fire Co. was dispatched to 1968 Norwood Ln. in Patton
Township at 12:06 AM for a dwelling fire. Police arrived on scene
first and reported all occupants, with the exception of 2 cats, out of
the structure with heavy smoke inside. |

Engine 510 and Truck 517 arrived shortly after the police and reported smoke showing.
Chief Stan Clouser (500) arrived, assumed command and requested a second alarm.
Crews located the fire in the basement and quickly extinguished it. The fire had ruptured a water line, which had put most of the fire out, containing it to the room of origin.
With the fire being quickly knocked down the second alarm units were placed available by command.
No one was home at the time the fire started and the cause is still under investigation.
The 2 cats were found inside the structure and were removed and taken to EMS who transported them to the animal hospital and are believed to have no life threatening injuries.
