At 2:32 AM the Alpha Fire Co. was dispatched to the 3300 Block of N. Atherton St. (Rt. 322) in Patton Township for a vehicle accident with entrapment.  Police and EMS arrived on scene first and confirmed entrapment of one patient, EMS also requested a helicopter on stand-by. Second Assistant Chief Chris Prestia (502) and Engine 514 arrived on scene and found one vehicle head on into the jersey barrier.

The crew from 514 started vehicle stabilization and hazard control as Rescue 518 arrived on scene and began patient extrication.

As EMS assessed the patient it was determined that a helicopter was not needed and LifeFlight was taken off stand-by. The patient was transported to Mt. Nittany Medical Center via Centre LifeLink EMS.

Extrication was completed in approximately 13 minutes.

The box was placed available at 3:38 AM.
