Trend Continues: Route 322 Accident with Entrapment |

The trend of the past week continued on with the company being alerted at 7:30 PM to an accident with entrapment on the 4400 Block of N. Atherton St. (Rt. 322) in Patton Township.
The call initally started as an accident with rollover and unknown injuries, as Patton Township Police were responding they were advised of calls reporting entrapment and they requested the fire department.

Third Assistant Chief B. DeArmitt (503), Rescue 518, and Engine 514 went responding within minutes. Engine 514 arrived on scene first and reported one passenger car on its roof and its crew began vehicle stabilization. As the crew was completing stabilization Rescue 518 arrived on scene and began patient extrication.
The patient was extricated by breaking the rear window of the vehicle. Extrication was completed in approximately 10 minutes. The patient was transported to Mt. Nittany Medical Center via Centre LifeLink EMS.
The box was placed available at 8:53 PM with fire police remaining on scene to assist the Police with traffic control while the vehicle was removed by a wrecker.
