At 17:11 hrs. the Alpha Fire Co. was alerted to the Nittany Mall at 2901 E. College Ave. for a gas leak inside a building.
Engine 510 and Chief Clouser went responding at the same time and were advised of a natural gas line that had broken and was leaking into the CVS store.  Upon arrival and investigating the situation it was determined that the leak was caused by contractors who were working on the roof.  The contractors had terminated the gas at the roof, prior to fire department arrival, and the leak was isolated.  The crew from Engine 510 checked the roof level and the store for gas and got no readings on the meter.  The incident was placed available at 17:53 hrs.

Units on Scene:  Engine 510, Truck 517, State College Police
In the Command:  Chief S. Clouser (500)
