At 3:32 PM the Alpha Fire Co. was dispatched to the parking lot of Hoss's Steak and Sea House, 1450 N. Atherton St., for a vehicle fire. Engine 510 arrived on scene first to find a passenger car with a working fire in the engine compartment.
Engine 514 and Rescue 518 arrived next and crews assisted with overhaul and clean-up.
The fire was contained to the engine compartment of the vehicle.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
Units cleared the scene at 3:51 PM.
