Around 6:45 AM the Alpha's were alerted to a gas leak inside at the Giant grocery store on North Atherton St. in Ferguson Township.

Arriving units were encountered with a strong smell of natural gas inside the structure.  The leak was located at a valve that was not turned off in the back room.  Crews terminated gas to the store and began ventilation.

Truck 516 was requested for additional fans.  Crews remained on scene until it was determined by personnel from Columbia Gas Co. to be safe.
