This afternoon the Alpha Fire Company was alerted to a dwelling fire in Patton Township at 690 Grayswood Blvd.  Fire Police Officer Wirtz (585) arrived on scene first and advised of light smoke showing.

As units were responding 585 advised that he believed the fire was knocked down, however, crews would need to check for extension.

Engine 514 arrived and its crew began overhaul of the affected area.  The crew from Truck 516 set up ventilation.

Most of the damage was contained to the stove area of the kitchen, the hood above the stove contained most of the fire.

Crews cleared the scene after approximately 45 minutes.

Units on Scene:  Engine 510, 512, 514, Truck 516, Command 534, Patton Township Police
Command:  3rd Assistant Chief B. DeArmitt (503)
