Around 17:00 hours Centre County 911 Center started receiving multiple calls about smoking coming from the second story window of a house on Main Street in the Village District of Boalsburg.  Centre County Dispatch alerted Companies 3, 4, 5, 8, and one unit from Center Life Link (for a fire standby) for dwelling fire on East Main Street.  Engine 310 was the first unit on scene and quickly acquired a water source, while a crew stretched a hand line to the C side of the second floor.  Chief 301 arrived around the same time to assume command.  As the engine crew stretched a line, Truck 517 arrived and sent a crew to the roof to assist with ventilation and the other crew threw ground ladders and secured utilities.  Engines 311, 413, 814 all responded from a standby at Centre Hall station for their parade, they arrived to provide additional water source and assist the interior crew with overhaul.  Engine 510 arrived around the same time and sent their crew to stagging.  The Fire was contained to one room on the C side of the structure with smoke damage to the entire second floor.  State College Police Fire Marshal is conducting the investigation
