Dumpster Fire at Mikes Video |

| At approximately 6:40 PM the Alpha Fire Co. was dispatched to 1515 N. Atherton St. in Ferguson Township for a reported dumpster fire. As units were responding they were advised that Ferguson Township Police were on scene with a well involved dumpster endangering the structure. Captain Kuchmay (595) quickly upgraded the response to a full first alarm. |

Captain Kuchmay (595) arrived on scene and established command. He instructed Engine 510 to pull the 1 3/4" trash line for extinguishment of the fire. Engine 514 was instructed to check side C, rear, of the structure for extension and then to make entry to the building and check for extension. Truck 517 arrived and assisted the crew from Engine 514 with gaining entry and checking for extension.
Crews found no extension to the structure even though it had been exposed to high temperatures.
The box was placed available at 7:58 PM.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Ferguson Township Police and the Centre Region Fire Marshal.
