Today, members of the Alpha Fire Company gathered to show respect for the brave firefighters who gave their lives on this day. For many years, the fire service has rung out the signal 5-5-5-5 as the sign for a line of duty death. The bell was rung twice, once for each tower that fell. The names of each of the 343 fallen firefighters were read, and the service concluded with prayers offered by Alpha Company Chaplains.

They are gone, but not forgotten.
