Dwelling Fire in Patton Township |

At 0800 Hours the Alphas were dispatched to South Barkway Lane
for a Dwelling Fire with reports of an upstairs bedroom on fire. 502 (Chris
Prestia) responded and was advised by county that police were on scene with heavy
smoke coming from the 2nd floor.

At that time he added a Truck from Company 2 (Undine Fire
Company, Bellefonte Fire Department) and went next due bringing Company 3
(Boalsburg Fire Company) and Company 8 (Pleasant Gap Fire Department) on the
Box assignment. 502 arrived on scene first with a 2 story residential with
smoke showing but no visible fire. He was followed immediately by Engine 514, Truck
516 and Engine 510.
514 established a water supply and advanced the initial
attack line to the 2nd division, while crews from 510 advanced the 2nd attack
line and controlled utilities. Crews found 3 rooms involved on the 2nd floor and
both lines were utilized in suppression efforts. 518, 513, 512 and 318 arrived
and supplied manpower and RIT. Engine 810 upon arrival was staged to cover any
additional calls. Control was marked at 0839, and following investigation the box
was placed in service at 1104 hrs.
