This afternoon Company 5 was dispatched to 3180 W. College Ave. in Ferguson Township for a specialized rescue.  As units went responding they were advised that a male had his hands trapped in a chain in the car wash. 100_0701

When units arrived on scene they found a male with his thumbs trapped between a piston and chain that operated the garage door to the car wash.

The operation dealt with everything from air pressurization to chains.  Crews were able to extricate the male by cutting the chain and loosening the pulley system that was around his hands.

Once the patient was extricated he was transported to Mt. Nittany Medical Center by Centre LifeLink EMS.
