The fire was dispatched as a shed fire and as units were responding they were advised that the complainant had called back and said the fire had spread to the house.
Chief Royer (800) arrived on scene and confirmed a working fire and assumed W. College command. Engine 810 arrived and began fire attack while Engine/Rescue 814 found a hydrant.
The hydrant was unable to supply enough water so command requested 5 additional tankers to the scene, bringing Tanker 520 among others.
Due to the switch to tanker operations, command requested Engine 413 from Centre Hall Fire Co. to establish a water supply in the area of Health South on W. College Ave.
Company 5 fire police were also dispatched to close the roadway down at the intersections of W. College Ave. and Shiloh Rd.
The house appeared to be a total loss and the cause of the fire is uknown at this time and is under investigation.
The Red Cross was notified and they are supplying assistance to the 2 displaced residents of the home.
No injuries to civilians or emergency responders were reported.
