During the mid-afternoon hours the Alpha Fire Company was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident with injuries on North Atherton Street. Engine 510 responded and arrived on scene to find an overturned SUV in a parking lot with a patient laying on the pavement.
510's crew split in two with two firefighters controlling fluids and pulling a safety line. Two other firefighters initiated patient care and assessment until Medic 24 arrived on scene.
Once Medic 24 arrived on scene crews assisted EMS with loading the patients into the ambulance. Both patients were transported to the Mount Nittany Medical Center for treatment.
