Shortly after 1:00 AM units from the Alpha Fire Co. of State College were dispatched to the Hilton Garden Inn, 1221 E. College Ave, for a reported building fire.  Police department personnel arrived at the location first and reported a heavy smoke condition on the first floor. 

Once fire department personnel arrived it was determined that a motor in one of the rooms had overheated and caused a heavy smoke condition throughout the first floor.

All occupants of the hotel were evacuated.  There were no reported injuries to civilians or emergency personnel.
