Alphas Attend Roscoe PA LODD Ceremony |

On 08/14/08, six members of the Alpha Fire Company with Engine 512, attended a LODD funeral for brother Sean Whiten of the Roscoe PA VFC. Captain Whiten passed away during a training exercise at the Westmoreland County Training Academy on 08/09/08. Captain Whiten is a past Chief of the Roscoe Fire Company and currently served as their Captain. Sean was 46 years old and leaves behind a wife Linda and his son, Sean Robert. Sean was an outstanding educator and a very talented firefighter. A Firefighter's Funeral Service was held at the Stockdale PA VFC. Approximately 1100 firefighters, family and friends were in attendance. Rest in peace Sean, a man I considered to be a close friend and mentor through the years.
