Alpha's Assist Port with Vehicle Fire PDF Print E-mail

At approximately 6:20 PM the Alpha Fire Co. was dispatched for a Tanker and an Engine to respond with Company 15 (Port Matilda) for a vehicle fire on S. Eagle Valley Rd. at the bottom of Skytop Mountain.

Engine 1510 and Engine/Tanker 1515 responded and arrived on scene and advised of a well involved passenger car.  Crews from 1510 and 1515 extinguished the fire prior to the arrival of Engine 514.  The crew from Engine 514 was asked to assist with overhaul once they arrived on scene.

The driver of the vehicle sustained minor injuries and was evaluated by medical personnel from Centre LifeLink EMS. 

Tanker 519 was placed available by command prior to their arrival on scene.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Pennsylvania State Police.
