This morning the Alpha's were dispatched to the Waddle road off ramp of Route 322 for a motor vehicle accident with entrapment. Shortly after dispatch Rescue 518 and Engine 514 responded on the call.
Engine 514 arrived on scene first to find a passenger car with the driver still in the vehicle. The crew from 514 began stabilizing the vehicle as Rescue 518 arrived. The crew from 518 assisted with cribbing and then personnel assisted EMS with patient removal from the vehicle.
The patient was transported to the Mount Nittany Medical Center by Centre LifeLink EMS.
The cause of the accident is under investigation by the Patton Township Police Department.
The Route 322 west-bound off ramp to Waddle Road was closed for the duration of the incident.
