The Alpha Fire Company of State College was dispatched at approximately 7 PM to 1885 Waddle Road in Patton Township for a reported building fire at the Texas Roadhouse restaurant.

First arriving units encountered a small fire near a light fixture on the exterior of the building.  The restaurant was immediately evacuated and all utilities to the business were terminated. A 1 3/4" handline was deployed from Engine 514 and the fire was extinguished.

Overhaul was performed to check for any possible extension. Units remained on scene for approximately 1 hour.

The restaurant remained closed for the remainder of the evening. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
