On October 20, approximately 10:00pm, the Alpha Fire Company was dispatched to the Lions Gate Apartments for a reported CO alarm with no patients.  Engine 510 arrived on scene and the crew proceeded to the third floor apartment, where the CO alarm initially sounded.  CO readings began to rise in the hallway.  The crew donned SCBA, entered the apartment, and found that the apartment was filling with CO.  The second and third floors were then searched and CO readings rose there as well.  The building was evacuated, the boiler shut down, and the building was then ventilated.  The crew of 510 rescued a small pug dog from the building.

Units on Scene: Engine 510, Command 534, State College PD
