The Centre Region COG and the Alpha Fire Company are pleased to announce that Tyler Fire Equipment LLC, representing Pierce Manufacturing, Inc. has been awarded the contract for our AerialScope rechassis.

The Alpha’s 1975 Mack/Baker AerialScope will have its boom and outriggers harvested and placed on a custom 2009 Pierce Arrow XT full tilt cab chassis. Features of the new apparatus will include: TAK- 4 independent front suspension, tandem rear axles, seating for six, with a 515 HP Detroit Diesel series 60 coupled to an Allison EVS 4000 transmission, with an overall length of approx. 42’. Additional options include a 15KW Onan hydraulic generator, dual electric cord reels, a 540 amp Leece-Neville dual alternator system, all LED emergency and compartment lighting and over 175’ of ground ladders. Alpha’s new Pierce AerialScope is expected to be completed within the next 12 months. alpha_fire_517_arrowxt_dwg.1
