At approximately 6:00 PM the Alpha Fire Company was dispatched to 576 Hunter Ave. in College Township for a dwelling fire.

State College Police arrived on scene and confirmed a working kitchen fire.  Assistant Chief N. Kuchmay arrived shortly after and advised of a fully involved kitchen fire and assumed Hunter Ave. command.

Engine 510 arrived and established water supply and stretched handlines to the structure. 

The crew from Engine 510 and 512 made an interior attack while the crews from Truck 516 and 514 began ventilation.

The crew from Rescue 318 (Boalsburg) assisted a the scene by establishing a RIT team.

The fire was knocked down within minutes of arrival and overhaul was started.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by the Centre Region Fire Marshal and the State College Police Department.

Thanks to Engine/Rescue 814 from Pleasant Gap for standing by in our station during the incident.
