New Self Contained Breathing Apparatus Have Arrived PDF Print E-mail

100_0615 Compliments of the State College Firemen’s Relief Association, the Alpha Fire Company has taken delivery of 83 Scott Air-Pac 75 SCBA units with spare cylinders and 4 RIT-PAC II Air Source Units.  The new Scott 75 air packs, purchased from Tyler Fire Equipment, Elmira, New York feature an AV-3000 facepiece, Customized 4500psi. Aluminum/Carbon Cylinders, Pak-Alert SE Pass Device with Scott’s Pak-Tracker Firefighter Locator.  Each SCBA is outfitted with a heads up display so that the firefighter can monitor air status and each are equipped with a dual EBSS/airline connection which allows for the ability to connect to another user or to a remote air source without having to disconnect the regulator supply hose.   Training on the new breathing apparatus is expected to begin soon.
