At 02:42 hours on Monday, March 2nd Centre County Communications received a report of a well involved structure in the 900 block of McCormick Avenue. The caller was a resident on Walnut Spring Lane who awoke to a glow through the woods between the two neighborhoods. Responding units arrived shortly after dispatch to heavy fire in an unoccupied home that was being extensively remodeled and extension to nearby woodlands. Brush units from Boalsburg (Co 3) and Bellefonte (Co 2) were added to the box. Units from Pleasant Gap (Co 8), Boalsburg (Co 3), and an aerial from Bellefonte (Co 2) covered Alpha stations. Alpha units cleared the scene at 07:35 hours, releasing mutual aid companies, but later returned some units to the scene to chase hot spots and assist the Fire Marshal. These units ended operations by 13:00.
