Are you are resident of the State College area? Have you ever thought about being a firefighter and didn't know if it was the thing for you?  Well, now is your opportunity to give it a try.  The Alpha Fire Co. will be hosting Firefighter for a Day which will take place July 24, 2009 begining at 6 PM and will end July 25, 2009 at 6 PM.  Activities will include mock car fires, vehicle extrication (using the Jaws of Life), simulated smoke maze, and other events.  Participants will bunk in at the station and respond to emergency calls.  All meals will be provided by company and participation is free of charge.  To sign-up please click on the link below for the application.  Applicants will be contacted by a representative of the Alpha Fire Company with further instructions and information.  Space is limited so sign-up early.
