Shortly before 5:00 AM the company was dispatched for a building fire at 240 S. Pugh St. in the Borough of State College.  Callers from the facility were advising of a smoke condition on the 6th floor.  State College Police arrived on scene at the Days Inn and advised of smoke condition on the 6th floor with no signs of heat or fire.  Assistant Chief N. Kuchmay (502) arrived on scene and assumed Pugh St. command.

Command and PD found the cause to be a burned up motor on the roof of structure and command held the box to Engine 514 and Truck 517.  Crews investigated the area around the motor checking for extension and found nothing.  Crews then assisted with ventilation of the structure.
