Around 11:30 AM the Alpha Fire Co. was requested to assist Port Matilda Fire Co. with a vehicle accident with entrapment on S. Eagle Valley Rd. in the area of the Penn DOT shed.  Engine 514 responded on the call.  While units were enroute they were advised that an EMT was on scene reporting no entrapment.

Chief 1500 and Rescue 1518 arrived on scene and reported a two vehicle accident with both vehicles in a drainage ditch.  A construction vehicle was leaking diesel fuel. 

When Engine 514 arrived on scene the occupant of a mini van had already been extricated from the vehicle and loaded into the ambulance.  The crew from 514 was requested to deploy a protection line until the arrival of the towing companies.

Units returned to service at approximately 1:30 PM.
