At 8:30 PM the Alpha's were alerted to a working vehicle fire in front of Watkins Dairyette on E. Pine Grove Rd. in Ferguson Township.  Chief S. Clouser (500), Engine 510 and 514 responded on the call.  Engine 510 arrived on scene first to find a fully involved pick-up truck.  The crew stretched a 1 3/4" attack line to begin extinguishing the fire.

While the crew from 510 was operating they encountered an area of the vehicle that was magnesium.  As a precaution Engine 514 was asked to establish a supply line to 510 in case 514 was needed to nurse 510.

The crew from 514 then assisted 510's crew with final overhaul and mop-up.  Units operated on the scene for about 1 hour.

The cause of the fire is not yet known and is under investigation by the Ferguson Township Police.
