This evening the Alpha Fire Co. and the Penn State Haz-Mat Team were dispatched to 234 E. Beaver Ave. for a hazardous materials incident.

Centre County 911 advised that fraternity members had mixed bleach and ammonia together and had created a vapor cloud in the bathroom.

Units arrived and were advised that patients were enroute to the hospital by personal vehicle.  Crews entered the house to ensure all occupants were evacuated.

Haz-Mat Team members entered the house and gained access to the bathroom.  The mixture was then cleaned up and ventilation started.

Once the house was ventilated occupants were allowed to return.
