Iowa game day was busy with
Company 5 dispatched to an industrial accident at approximately 10:33 hours at
the Centre County Solid Waste Authority Transfer Station. Chief 500 (Clouser)
arrived to find a person trapped in a front end loader that landed upright
after falling 15 to 20 feet from a platform. Shortly after establishing command
Chief 500 requested a medical helicopter. Rescue 518 and Engine 510 took
positions to effect extrication. Extrication was completed at approximately
11:12 hours and the patient was moved to the medical helicopter which arrived
shortly thereafter.
