At approximately 23:14 hours Companies 5 and 8 were dispatched for a vehicle accident with injuries in the area of I-99 northbound mile marker 76. Chief 503 (Martin) was advised enroute of a possible DOA in the roadway. Arriving units found an SUV off the road that had rolled several times and one DOA in the roadway. It appears that four occupants had escaped the vehicle with minor injuries. One of the four made a cell phone call for assistance and while doing so, wandered into the roadway where he was subsequently struck. Most units cleared at 00:37 hours, although Engine 514, 503, and Company 5 Fire Police remained on scene until 04:04 to assist PSP with their investigation.
