Shortly after 6:30 PM the Boalsburg Fire Co. and Alpha Fire Co. were alerted to the 400 Block of Brandywine Dr. for a reported structure fire. As units were responding the dispatch center advised of multiple calls reporting flames through the roof. Boalsburg Chief M. Neff arrived on scene and confirmed a working fire and assumed command.

Engine 311 arrived on scene first and deployed 2 attack lines into
the structure. Truck 516 arrived and set up for possible aerial
operations. Engine 514 arrived and established a second water supply
and established a supply to the truck.
Due to heavy fire conditions in the attack command
ordered the evacuation and began master stream operations. Once the
fire was knocked crews returned to the interior of the home for salvage
and overhaul.
The fire was contained to the attic space and the remainder of the house suffered smoke and water damage.
The cause is currently under investigation by the Pennsylvania State
Police Fire Marshal. The homeowners were not home at the time of the
fire.
Centre Hall and Pleasant Gap fire companies also assisted on the scene.
