The month of February ended with a mutual aid call to Port Matilda Borough. Three Alpha engines responded for a reported structure fire with entrapment. Fortunately the occupants escaped this fast moving fire in a mobile home. Engines 514 and 512 went to the scene, while Engine 510 was diverted to Station 15. Engine 514 assisted with some minor overhaul and all Alpha units cleared the scene before midnight.
Congratulations to the College Township live-ins and the Sunday bunk-in crew, enjoying out the new amenities at the College Township Station, for effecting a very prompt response with Engine 512. The same group caught a second reported structure fire in the Alpha first due at 0745 hours Monday morning, March 1. This call turned out to be a furnace malfunction.
