Alpha's Assist Port Matilda with Wildfire |

| This afternoon the Alpha Fire Co. was dispatched to assist Port Matilda with a wildfire at 3:21 PM. The fire was approximately 2-3 acres in size and was located in Worth Township off of Hilltop Ln. Engine 514 and Tanker 519 responded on the call. The crew from the Engine was requested to set up at the head of the fire to stop it from spreading. Tanker 519 was requested to stage at the end of the lane. The engine crew with the assistance of Boalsburg Brush 325 and Bald Eagle Brush 9625 was able to stop the fire from spreading. Crews then assisted with putting out hot spots and overhaul of the area. Crews returned to the Centre Region around 5 PM. |
