The Alpha Fire Co. Aerialscope (the first in the fleet that was an automatic transmission) that was in service from 1975-2008 (Alpha Fire Company), was driven to Pierce to be rechassied in January 2009.  In June 2009 Rick James had the old chassis hauled back to Pennsylvania and over the winter, January 2010-March 2010, a correct boom and jacks were placed back on it.  The unit was then sent to the body shop for touch up and it returned to the State College area on April 13, 2010.

When the unit was first purchased it was driven to the station for the 1st time when it was new from the Harrisburg Mack branch in the fall of 1975, its original cost was $145,692.00.
