At 6:44 PM the Alpha Fire Co. was alerted to Exit 69 of I-99 North for a motor vehicle accident with entrapment. Engine 510, 514, and Rescue 518 responded on the call within minutes.
Engine 514 arrived on scene first to find a passenger car on its side in the woods with one patient still in the vehicle. Rescue 518 arrived to assist the crew of 514 with vehicle stabilization and patient extrication.
Once the vehicle was stabilized the occupant was able to self-extricate themself from the vehicle. With the assistance of the crews on scene the patient exited the vehicle through the sun roof. The patient was then transported to Mount Nittany Medical Center by Centre LifeLink EMS.
