This afternoon the Alpha's were alerted to assist Port Matilda with a working dwelling fire at 500 Beaver Rd. in Houston Township.  Units arrived on scene to find active fire on the first floor of a 2 story house.  Crews were able to contain the fire to first floor, however, the whole house sustained substantial smoke and heat damage.
