Vehicle Fire at the Borough Building PDF Print E-mail

This morning around 3:40 AM the fire company was alerted to a working car fire in the parking lot to the rear of the State College Municipal Building.  Assistant Chief S. Kauffman (504) arrived on scene to find a passenger car that had been on fire.  Upon arrival the fire had already been knocked down by Penn State Police with the use of their Special Response Unit 2022.  The crew from Engine 514 completed cooling the vehicle down and began overhaul operations.

Units operated on the scene for approximately 1 hour.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by the Centre Region Fire Marshal's office and the State College Police Deapartment.
