| At 1311 Companies 1,2 and 8 were dispatched for a working dwelling fire with possible entrapment at 308 E. Bishop St. in Bellefonte, PA. Chief 103 arrived on scene confirming a working fire and requested Tower 516. T-516 responded on the call with 6. T-516 arrived on scene and split crews sending one crew to the attic and one crew to the basement. Crews worked it for hours going through multiple cylinders. Throughout the job crews opened up, checked for extension, performed ventilation, and suppressed the fire in several divisions. While operating on the fire, Engine 510 was transferred to Station 1 to stand-by. E-510 responded with 5. After several hours of truck work and extensive overhaul, crews began to take up but then were alerted for a 2nd working fire in the Borough of Bellefonte at 344 Reynolds Ave. The tower crew went ready and responded on the run as the 2nd due truck and were staged on Reynolds Avenue. After a short time in staging the box was scaled back and the tower returned to station 2 to assist with clean up. Through the day the Alpha Truck Company operated a total of 6 ½ hours. |
