| Shortly before midnight Company 5 was alerted to 10 Vairo Blvd. Bulding 222 B for a reported building fire. Engine 510, Engine 514, Quint 527, Truck 517, Rescue 518, Chief 500 and 503(command) responded within minutes with 24 personnel. E510 and T517 arrived on scene simultaneously to a 2 story multifamily dwelling with light smoke showing. E510 pulled a 500’ leader line to 150 ft 1 ¾” to the front door. Q527, R518 and E514 arrived shortly after laying out and securing E510 water supply. T517 operated as the first due truck, Q527 operated as second due truck. Crews made entry, completed searches, opened up, threw ladders and horizontally ventilated. Meanwhile R518 completed searches and evacuation of the remainder of the building. Searches proved negative and crews found fire in the attic space. T517 crew held the fire in check until the line was in placed. Fire was extinguished and crews took up. |
