Monday May 23^rd 2011: Today at approximately 1:36 pm Boalsburg Chief 304 notified county of a tri-axle into a light pole with entrapment and fire in the Nittany Mall parking lot. Engine 510 went on the road within 2 minutes after 304’s initial report. Upon arriving on scene the engine crew noticed multiple damaged vehicles in the mall parking lot and numerous large tree limbs on the road and in the parking lot with one tri-axle into a parking lot light pole. The tri-axle went off the road into the parking lot, hit one car and threw into another car and also took out several tree limbs; it then went back onto the Benner Pike for a short distance and went back into the parking lot narrowly missing a telephone poll and came to a final rest when it hit a light poll in the parking lot.
