Engine 510 arrived on scene and reported a working fire with heavy smoke showing from the front of the building. The crew stretched a hose line in the front door for an initial attack. Truck 516 arrived shortly after 510 and set-up for aerial operations on the back side of the building. Engine 514 arrived on scene and established a water supply for the truck and then stretched a back-up line through the back door and knocked down the remainder of the fire.
Truck crew performed a primary of the fire room and adjacent stores while the roofman and a crew member from 514 went to the roof to cut a vent hole.
The incident was placed under control at 00:10 hrs.
Thanks to Boalsburg Fire Co. for their help on scene.
Engine 514 and Truck 516 remained on the scene to help with the investigation. The box was placed available at 03:44 hrs.
The cause of the blaze, which destroyed the store, is currently under investigation by the Centre Region Fire Marshal and the Ferguson Township Police.
